Current Reading Goals

Independent Reading Requirements

Read at home for 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week. This is in addition to the reading you do in class. The more you read, the better reader you will become!

You can read books from our classroom library or books you get on your own from the school library, the public library, or home. All I ask is that you read books you are interested in and that are "just right" for you. If you need help picking out a book, please ask me! I always love to recommend books to my students! We will have time several days a week to browse our classroom library, and you are always welcome to come after school to look for a new book or to sit and read in a bean bag chair!

Independent Reading Contract

You signed a contract during the first week of school about the independent reading you will be doing this year and your use of our classroom library. If you need a reminder, you can download the contract by clicking here.
